Love is in the air!

I love you in 101 languages

The cheesiest day of the year is almost here!

You’ve got but a matter of hours to put the finishing touches to the pink papier-mâché heart you’ve made for your loved one, or to get down the shops to stock up on action-hero movies and alcohol for those of you choosing to pretend the 14th February doesn’t exist.
If you fall into the latter category, perhaps this first part isn’t for you… skip on to the second bit.

Actions speak louder than words.

Or so the saying goes, but what if we put the two together? We use our words to express our feelings, so what would love be without words?

Did you know that there are over 7000 languages and dialects spoken in the world today? Imagine knowing them all, what would you say to your sweetheart?

Spanish student, Manu, paintbrush in hand, took to the streets to use his words and declare his love in this original display of creativity (Spanish).
We don’t know if the object of his affections was as pleasantly surprised as the as the people of Granada, Spain, but we are sure a few people learned some new words that day.

If you don’t have a loved one to share this day with, not to worry! There are plenty of people out there waiting for Cupid’s arrow to strike.

Love doesn’t care about your religion, your race, your culture or even your languagelet yourself go! And, who knows? You may fall in love with someone who doesn’t speak the same language. So what?

Other than the immediate benefits that being in love brings, you can learn a new way to express yourself thanks to your private tutor 😉

If you’re still not sure then look around; everyone’s at it. Here are some examples of love conquering all… even the language barrier.
