Vocabulary and Grammar by Lingu

Have you ever heard the expression There’s more than one way to skin a cat? It means that you can always find more than one way to do something.

This is especially important when we talk about teaching since every teacher has their own method. You have probably experienced different teaching styles, and today we are going to add a new one to your list thanks to Lingu. If you want to discover how Lingu teaches vocabulary and grammar, don’t stop reading!

How does Lingu teach Vocabulary?

A language is nothing without words. Lingu teaches using flashcards on which you can find definitions, pictures and phonetic transcriptions of a wide range of vocabulary. These include not only the traditional categories of nouns, verbs and adjectives but phrasal verbs, adverbs, expressions, etc. Everything is designed taking into consideration the requirements of the CEFR.

In addition to this, when you become a Premium Member, you can access a wide variety of examples and audios in order to help you develop your linguistic competence in an effective way. Apart from linking the picture to the concept, all the examples allow you to see how the word is used in context.

Don’t forget that you can also check the phonetic transcription (IPA) and listen to the pronunciation of both the word and the example. You will be able to gain more confidence with your speaking abilities while you clear up any doubts and practise pronunciation patterns.

All these features combined make for a dynamic learning process.

By the way! Don’t rest on your laurels because Lingu wants you to be attentive all the time. He will ask you questions in order to check that your progress is going well.
